He then went on to serve his internship and internal medicine residency at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center in NYC, NY (1975-1978). Furthermore, he conducted his gastroenterology fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia (1978-1980).
